I was listening to some of John Peel's Festive 50 recordings and came across this again. The best pop/rock song ever written? Without doubt. John Peel loved this song so much the opening line is inscribed on his headstone: "A teenage dream's so hard to beat". Whatever happened to Fergal Sharkey?
